Welcome to the website for the Palouse Lightfoot Militia.
Our organization is a joint operational command of the Moscow (Idaho, Latah County) 57th Battalion and Pullman (Washington, Whitman County) 75th Battalion. Why a "joint command?" As with other local and regional militia organizations, we are attempting to comply with existing standards, among which are naming and organizational conventions based on state and county lines. While borders may separate our cities, we have decided to organize under a collaborative banner that represents the unified spirit of the Moscow/Pullman region.

Who are we? We are your friends and neighbors. We believe in liberty, rule of law and the constitution. Our members operate under a comprehensive and unforgiving code of conduct. In many cases we come from a law enforcement or military background. We believe in God. We revere our Republic. We are independent and self-reliant. We love our local communities and we care what happens within them. Our members have joined together for purposes of preparedness, search and rescue operations (including supplementing local law enforcement in emergency situations) and defensive tactical training.
For the time being, we are recruiting interested local individuals, and will carpool to Spokane, where we will train with the 63rd Bn., LF at least once monthly. Once we have recuited a large enough contingent of men, and the experience to coordinate our own training exercises, we will train locally and autonomously.
We are interested in training to become a deterrent, defensive force. A first response mechanism to assist in times of natural disaster. An organization we can use to offer leadership and assistance to our fellow citizens, community, and families.
